Your main tasks are
- Coordination of road maintenance measures and traffic safety obligations based on the road condition register (thin layers in cold paving, surface treatments, crack repairs, own surface course measures, external construction measures) incl. Tendering, construction supervision, financial planning, invoicing and preparation of press releases
- Carrying out tenders for materials and services (bulk materials, equipment and machinery, asphalt, etc.)
- Coordination of measures in accordance with the Telecommunications Act (e.g. broadband expansion) with utility providers, other specialist services and contractors and issuing of permits
- Issuing access permits for private residents in consultation with the road inspectors, taking into account urban land-use planning
- Preparation of statements on special uses, urban land-use planning, building permit procedures, measures by utility providers
- Review and coordination of road control activities (road control book), DA road control, definition of control limits
- Inquiries and letters from/to citizens and committees on road law and road safety
- Initiating measures with private individuals, third parties and insurance companies in the event of road damage caused by tree root growth

The formal requirement for a successful application is the qualification for the 1st entry level of career group 2 – higher technical administrative service.
Alternatively, a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in civil engineering is a prerequisite for a successful application.
Students who are expected to have completed their studies in 2024/2025 can also apply.
A class B driver’s license is also required.
In addition, a command of German at language level C 1 is required

- from 01.04.2025 a permanent full-time position with 39 or 40 hours per week in a modern city administration. The position is generally suitable for part-time work.
- initially a part-time position with 12 hours per week, open-ended until 31.03.2025.
- Pay in line with the collective agreement according to pay group 11 TVöD, which ranges from 3,622 to 5,464 gross depending on individual experience at the start of employment.
- If the requirements under civil service law are met, employment as a civil servant or a transfer may also be considered. The position is graded according to salary group A12 NBesG, which ranges from €3,880 to €5,063 gross depending on individual experience at the start of employment.
